Michelle Flynn, MD

A native of the area, I grew up in West Chester, Pennsylvania with my parents and two younger sisters. In high school, I saw how my own primary care physician also cared for my siblings, parents, and grandparents, and how our doctor became a trusted person for our whole family. This is what first sparked my interest in medicine. After graduating from the honors college at Penn State University, I attended medical school at Temple University, which is where I met my husband. After completing our residencies, my husband’s Army career brought us to Fort Sill. I spent four years as a primary care physician in a small community in rural Oklahoma. With few internists and specialists available, I became experienced independently managing complex medical problems. While I treasured my time as part of a small community, I am thrilled to be back in Philadelphia for good!

It is a privilege to be trusted to guide my patients on their health journey. I genuinely value the relationships we build together—formed over time by listening, hearing what matters most to each person, and considering that those needs may evolve. I work with adult patients at every stage of life. Practicing in Center City Philadelphia, PA, means we are surrounded by specialists and hospitals, which can be advantageous. But I also know it can feel overwhelming to navigate such a complex healthcare landscape. That is why it is so important to have a primary care physician who understands the system and can help you as you navigate care. Similar to concierge medicine practices, I also offer conveniences such as same-day or next-day appointments with minimal waiting. In a healthcare system that can often feel fragmented, my goal is to provide personalized, attentive care that supports your pursuit of health and wellness across the lifespan.

What Patients Are Saying About Michelle Flynn, MD

I have been coming to Ninth Street Internal Medicine for about six years now. My primary doctor, Michelle Flynn, M.D. has been an amazing, compassionate doctor. She has always spent the time needed to fully go over any concerns and has had great suggestions to support my well being. There are times in between appointments that I have reached out to Dr. Flynn using their communications portal and Dr. Flynn always answers me the same day, or within 24 hours.

The front desk team has always been courteous on the phone and in person. I am so impressed with the efficiency of the practice. I have never waited more than 5 minutes once I check in!

The nurses have always been very kind and efficient.

I chose this practice because it was convenient to where I worked. I was laid off in 2020, but continue to come here despite the additional travel time and distance. I do believe that once you find a great practice and a great doctor you stay with them.

Thank you Dr. Flynn and the entire team for your commitment to be such a compassionate practice.
